Driving Accessibility for Inclusive Learning
To comply with the American Disabilities Act, eCornell, the online learning unit of Cornell University, launched an initiative to make educational and promotional materials accessible to the visually impaired. This initiative enabled current and prospective students with visual impairments to access text in eCornell’s flyers and worksheets using a screen reader.
I led the production of these accessible materials and trained others to create them using Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and PDF2HTML.
